As season three comes to an end, Bridgette becomes desperate to star in this episode, but then starts to ruin the kids' chances for an episode.
Plot[]
Chef and the kids are trying to decide on an episode to submit to the Crazy School Adventure Awards. Duncan thinks the one with Cave Boy is the best, while Beth thinks they should send the one where everyone thinks she is a biter. Owen suggests the episode where squirrels stole his Fudgy Lumps. The kids can't agree, each thinking their own spotlight episodes are perfect. Bridgette can't remember any of the episodes that the others are talking about or the previous episode she was in. Bridgette concedes that she's sure the producers know what they're doing and that they work very hard. However, in the producer's office, Tom and Jen are seen relaxing instead of working.
Bridgette states that she doesn't rely on staring in episodes for her self-worth, pointing out her hair. The kids continue to disagree about which episode to submit, like the time Owen became a giraffe and the time Chef locked himself in the daycare and went crazy, and noted Courtney's Taffy Math Contest and Harold almost starting an intergalactic war as favorites. Just then, the doorbell rings, and Chef orders Bridgette to answer it, referring to her as Barbara. Bridgette corrects him before walking to the door. She opens the door to find an exact copy of herself, suggesting to her that this episode is about Bridgette. Bridgette runs back to Chef and tells him, thinking it might be an alien clone that wants to take over her life, a post-apocalyptic version of herself that she has to fight, or her rich, long-lost twin. Chef reveals that what Bridgette saw was herself, in a mirror delivered by MacArthur, who wonders who she is.
Chef laughs, noting that they can't win an award with a story about a kid in a mirror as MacArthur asks who Bridgette is, Chef replies to her that her name is Bernice. Owen walks up and corrects him, also stating that she isn't a new kid. Bridgette thanks him...before he says that she just isn't popular. Bridgette begins talking to herself, wondering why popularity matters in children's television. She opens a door, only to find a strange alien egg sitting in the middle of the room. She calls the other kids in and Leshawna, Owen, Duncan and Izzy arrive. Leshawna states that someone more popular should take the lead. Owen decides that if the alien is nice then Izzy should take it, if it's mean, Duncan should.
Bridgette refuses to hand over the story as the egg begins to open. The "egg" opens to reveal Chef, who goes on to state that the "egg" is actually a rejuvenation pod. The kids decide that there is no story and leave. Bridgette rummages through a toybox, looking for something that can set her story in motion. Beth thought that she didn't care about starring in an episode. Bridgette says that she doesn't and demands Beth help her look as she pulls out a pair of carded Owen and Izzy action figures. She thinks that an evil scientist shrank them, Beth questions why she would be happy about that before revealing that it's just merch as she pulls a figure of herself out her nose. Bridgette laments that this isn't story either but she wants to see what she looks like as a doll. Beth then tells her that they never made one of her as they only made figures of the "main cast".
Bridgette is furious at the implication that she isn't part of the main cast. She keeps searching for a story for herself as Leshawna points out that the episode is half completed. Bridgette wants more time and rushes off as Izzy finds a genie's lamp. Noting that they've never done a genie episode before, Izzy releases the genie who is promptly sucked into Bridgette's handheld vacuum cleaner before she can make a wish. Bridgette wants this episode to be about her. Duncan says that it isn't their fault if they make better muses for the writers and claims that they're barely employable as it is as he sits down on a chair. The chair tips over, moving a rock that it's tied to and freeing the mole people from their underground prison, making Duncan their king. Bridgette doesn't take this well and hits the mole person on the head with a shovel.
Bridgette tells the other kids to stop trying to steal her episode. Cody walks up, saying that he isn't trying to steal her episode, he's only eating chips. Cody then bites a golden chip, which Leshawna notes has won them a visit to Chippy Conka and his magical chip factory. The mascot of the company that makes the chips is seen singing in a balloon ready to pick up the kids before Bridgette shoots it down in an F-18 fighter jet. She bails out of the aircraft's cockpit and angrily parachutes to the ground. She threatens the other kids before a cyborg version of Beth, named The Bethinator, arrives, she states that she's here to prevent a war between man and machine and that she needs to take all the kids but Bridgette. Bridgette kicks her back into the portal as Chef calls the kids back inside the daycare so they can decide which episode to submit. as the kids go inside, Owen assures Bridgette that they'll think of an episode for her next season.
Chef says that the kids are in agreement on what episode to submit before being interrupted by Bridgette, saying that she has come to terms with being a background character. Chef is about to tell her, once again misnaming her as Badango, something before she interrupts him. She says that it's true she'll never be a popular character like Izzy or Owen, or even the likes of Harold and that she's been gone for so long that she's forgotten how big a burden leading an episode is. Suddenly, an alarm goes off and Chef tells her that ten minutes have passed, and that this episode is about her. Bridgette, thinking that this is worse than not getting an episode, is livid and storms off the daycare and goes to the network to pitch her own show. The kids think that her show won't stand a chance.
The next morning, Chef tells the kids that he got a letter from the network. The letter states that their show is being cancelled and is being replaced by Bridgette's new show, a police drama named "Burning Bridgettes". Duncan shows support for Bridgette's show but Owen thinks that his line would be better said by him. The kids all begin to switch personality traits before Courtney, thinking the show is off the rails, intervenes, asking for Chef, hoping that he can stop all this. Chef returns, revealing that he's blown up his own car. Courtney, in dismay, adds that this was the "worst ending ever", thus ending the episode.
