Beth, labeled The Wannabe of the group, was a camper on Total Drama Island on the Screaming Gophers team. She is currently a cast member on Total Drama Action on the Killer Grips.
Biography
Total Drama Island
Beth easily faces her fear in Phobia Factor.
Beth was born and raised on a farm, and loves her parents. Since the closest thing to another child around her was a pig, she never really developed social skills. She does anything for attention, but she often gets it from doing something very embarrassing. Her naive and trusting personality and clueless nature is why she was picked for Total Drama Island. Despite not being what many would consider "beautiful," Beth is a kind and loving person, which can lead to her being manipulated by Heather or Justin.
In the beginning, Heather tricked Beth into an alliance by saying that she, Beth and Lindsay will make it into the final three if they join her, with both Beth and Lindsay completely oblivious that they were only being used to get Heather further in the game. In Phobia Factor, she reveals her fear of being covered in bugs to the other campers. The challenge then required Beth to face her fear and dive into an inflatable pool filled with worms. When Beth saw her challenge, she simply shrugged it off and dived straight in. Chris commented that Beth set the bar way high.
Beth "curses" her team when she takes a tiki she found on Boney Island back to the camp.
In Up The Creek, Beth (who was in the restroom) did not hear Chris's instructions that she would be cursed if she took anything off the island. At the island Beth took an evil Tiki doll carving out of a bush. In Paintball Deer Hunter, tensions between Heather and Beth come to a head when Beth reveals in the Confessional stall that she is feeling frustrated by Heather's constant and unreasonable demands, such as demanding her shower be warmed and having to scrub her back. Later, the teams are divided into deer and hunters; Beth and Lindsay are among the hunters and Heather is among the deer. Heather orders Beth to bring her some potato chips from the cafeteria instead of focusing on the actual challenge. Beth does so and avoids being spotted by Chef Hatchet. While she did this, she reflected on why she took such a crazy risk in potentially being caught by the "psycho Chef", and realizes she was putting her life on the line for someone she never even liked. Beth defiantly begins eating the chips, and when she gets to Heather, the chips are almost gone. Heather demands that she brings her more, but Beth refuses. She later shoots Heather with her paintball gun. Beth, fed up with Heather's bossy attitude, breaks the alliance, implying that she is less oblivious than Lindsay. After the curse breaks her alliance with Heather, she befriends LeShawna.
It is implied that she may have developed a crush on Cody, due to her giving him a kiss before she pushed him off the Dock of Shame. After her curse eliminates two Gophers (Izzy and Cody), she was the ninth voted off due to her team finding about the curse she had set upon them (thus having the curse eliminate herself). She says she would return the tiki doll to Boney Island, but in Trial by Tri-Armed Triathlon, it is revealed that Beth ripped the tiki doll in pieces and flushed it down the septic tank (although Chris might have actually asked her to do this seeing as how he knew all about it). In the reunion special, Beth teams up with Lindsay and Ezekiel to find a suitcase worth one million dollars. In the end, Beth and Lindsay landed into the dock and they qualify to compete in Total Drama Action, the second season.
Total Drama Action

Beth returned to Total Drama Action with her braces removed (in Monster Cash), causing several fellow competitors to tell her how great she looked. Justin said "As hot as ever.", but was speaking to his own reflection in Beth's teeth, though Beth seems convinced that the compliment was meant for her. Beth and Lindsay seem closer than ever, especially in Beth's case as she was very excited to reunite with Lindsay during the season's first challenge. Lindsay and Beth go out of their way to alienate Heather, who treated them poorly in Total Drama Island. Lindsay considers Beth her new BFFFL. The two are currently sharing a bunk together.
In Alien Resurr-eggtion, the contestants were trying to determine what strange noises were on the alien's spaceship. The other competitors showed signs of being too afraid to see what the noises were, so Beth stepped up to investigate, saying that she didn't survive eight years of braces, headgear, and spitting for nothing (she found that the noises were just Geoff and Bridgette kissing nearby). This action is characteristic of Beth's facing her fear of being covered in bugs nonchalantly, and her courageously standing up to Heather (and shooting her with a paintball gun) in TDI. Beth reveals in this episode that her dream is to marry Justin.

In Beach Blanket Bogus, Lindsay offers Justin bacon, and Beth offers Justin Fakon (tofu bacon substitute) saying it was good for his body. Lindsay then says that bacon is good for his hair. At hearing this, Beth jumps up and wraps herself around Justin's head exclaiming that she loves his hair. During the surfboard challenge, she calls Lindsay tanorexic, and quickly apologizes. During Justin's turn, when Chris was going to launch seagulls at Justin, Beth yelled out for him to watch his beautiful face. During this episode, Beth starts giving out friendship bracelets to her team, but is too shy to give one to Justin. During the sandcastle challenge, Beth shows the team how resourceful she is and manages to win them the challenge. Later that night, the Killer Grips are at the beach shore when Justin comes up and apologizes to Beth for losing the surfing challenge, and thanked her for winning the sandcastle challenge. Justin points out how Beth never gave him a friendship bracelet, and asked if he and her were friends. Beth pulls out one last one, and says it's sweaty, but Justin says it's nice. The two look at each other with romantic eyes, though Justin says in the confessional that he's willing to do whatever it takes to win, and implied that he was going to ask if Beth wanted to be in an alliance with him.

In 3:10 to Crazytown, it is revealed that Justin told Beth that she looked like a horse. She originally took it as a compliment, though when she's in the confessional she seems to figure out what it really means. When Gwen is accused by Justin of cheating, Beth is particularly disturbed by this news. She looks at Gwen with puppy dog eyes to find out the truth. She says she views Gwen as a friend, and didn't think Gwen would cheat against her friends. Gwen tells the Killer Grips (with Trent absent) the truth, that Trent threw challenges to help Gwen get further in the competition, but betrays Trent by telling them to vote him off.
In The Chefshank Redemption, Beth reminded Gwen to throw the challenge. She also dropped her retainer into Gwen's meal for the reward challenge. After Gwen spit it out, it made Lindsay throw up, losing that challenge for Beth's team. Gwen was able to throw the next part of the challenge successfully. Gwen was voted off.
In One Flu Over the Cuckoos, Beth is shown studying with Justin at the beginning of the episode. He even convinced her to read the book to him after he removed his shirt for her. Despite being distracted by Justin, Beth seemed to be one of the most knowledgeable castmates during the challenge. She was also one of the victims of the 'disease'. She spent what she, and several others, thought to be their final hours attempting to get a kiss from Justin.
Beth revealed, in The Sand Witch Project, that she is unable to scream. A doctor dropped an earring in Beth's throat while performing her tonsillectomy. When the team tries to decide who will play the role of the killer in the first part of the challenge, Lindsay forces them to choose Beth since she cannot play the role of the screamer. Beth tried her best, but still made an unconvincingly killer. After the team lost the challenge, altogether, Lindsay wondered why the team would vote her off, as she was in the bottom two. Beth told her that she was becoming bossy.

In Masters of Disasters, Beth begins to claim that she has a boyfriend named Brady, whom she met during the two day time span between the two seasons. She claims to have met him at the orthodontist while she was getting her braces off. Beth also says that Brady is a model. The rest of the competitors all doubt his existence, especially as she continues to bring him up constantly throughout the rest of the episode, telling stories about how great he is.
In Full Metal Drama, Beth, along with Lindsay, begins to resist Justin's charm. She also is one of the main leaders of the team, as she helps Lindsay with her ideas and plans for the team. Justin manages to sway both her and Lindsay's votes at the end of the episode, which leads to Izzy's elimination. Plus, Lindsay stated that if she got voted off, she will blame Beth for it since she had to blame somebody.
Beth becomes fearful of Owen's consumption habits, in Ocean's Eight - Or Nine, now that his jaw has been un-wired. She and the Grips participate in the bank vault challenge, wondering how they are going to get him out. As Owen complains about how hungry he is, Beth pulls out an elixir called Desperado, a potent liquid that smells like roast chicken. This smells gets Owen to break out on his own, though that smell makes Owen even more hungry throughout the challenges. Owen gets so hungry, he begins to imagine Beth, Justin, and Lindsay as food items (namely, Beth as a drumstick and/or ice cream cone). It gets to a point of being unbearable, so Beth rewires his jaw with one of her spare hair elastics. After Courtney's arrival, she begins to take charge of the Grips telling them to "mush" to get to the finish line of the third challenge. This gets Beth mad, telling Courtney that the teammates aren't sled dogs. Beth was one of the three people mentioned in Owen's first-ever Total Drama farewell speech; he yet imagines Beth as an ice cream cone during the speech. Owen, who really wanted a Gilded Chris, got three, one from Lindsay, Justin, as well as, Beth.
Beth competes fiercely in Million Dollar Babies.
In One Million Bucks, B.C. Beth isn’t show too often, and she doesn’t have too many lines. Beth is shown to still think that Courtney is “bossy” and agreed with the other girls that they missed Owen who was eliminated the other episode. She also mentions her “boyfriend” towards the beginning of the episode. During the second part of the challenge, Beth won her duel against Heather because she grabbed a hold of Heather's bone and Heather said to let go (so she can stand up). In the confessional, she says that getting people hurt is what Total Drama Island/Action is about so she drops the bone and Heather falls into the tar, giving the Grips' their first point. The Grips also win this challenge, and win a huge BBQ. But, their reward is lost when Chef carelessly toppled the BBQ into the tarpit.
In Million Dollar Babies she reveals that she occasionally twirls items in her sleep like a baton. During the boxing challenge she picked up the PDA that Courtney dropped but used it to communicate with her boyfriend because Courtney was distracted however on there she discovered a video of LeShawna talking bad about everyone. She had a rough start in the badminton challenge but won when LeShawna said her boyfriend did not exist. When Leshawna said that her boyfriend did not exist again, Beth showed the video on Courtney's PDA about what LeShawna said about everyone causing everyone to become angry at LeShawna.

In Dial M for Merger she and Lindsay have their first fight. Even though they're not Killer Grips anymore, they still go through the laser obstacle course together. Beth grows annoyed with Lindsay, as they are trapped between the lasers together asking, "What kind of BFF are you?". This is quickly resolved though, as Beth encourages Lindsay in the second challenge, even though Beth fails. She also accidently gave Justin a black eye in this episode.
In Super Hero-ld, Beth creates a costume (which is really just some logs tied to her limbs and head) and takes on the identity of Lumber Woman who can talk to plants. Chris easily dismisses her hero as lame, it's made worse when Justin dons a similar costume as Timber Man. At elimination, Beth convinces the girls to vote off Duncan simply to get back at Courtney. Beth talks to Harold and get his support in booting out Duncan. Harold accepts the offer, but is persuaded by Courtney to vote off LeShawna. As a result, Beth's vote off didn't work and Duncan was spared while LeShawna was sent home.
In the Princess Pride, she worked with Lindsay in Duncan 's biggest burrito contest. She was very excited about the fairy tale theme that Chris threaten to boot her off the show if she ever revealed the theme before he did. She was annoyed that Chris would not allow her to try on the glass boot. In the blindfolded bridge challenge, Beth played an "Ugly Stepsister" but lost and fell off the bridge (due to this she was not able to compete for the rest of the challenges that day)
The Princess Courtney dolls become Princess Beth dolls.
. For the rest of the episode she thinks she has a concussion and sees a warped reality. During the Gilded Chris Awards, she uses one of the Princess Courtney dolls as voodoo doll. Her voodoo plan backfires when Chris says that the Courtney dolls will become Beth dolls and Beth immediately asked Lindsay to take the pins off.
In Get a Clue, Beth began to betray Lindsay, and utilizing her friend's lack of intelligence against her. First, she tricked Lindsay into giving up her DNA. Then, she left Lindsay to go and help Harold and Courtney. At the end of the episode, Lindsay took Duncan to the movies with her over Beth. Beth was mildly upset, but easily forgave Lindsay when she saw how upset Courtney was.
In Rock n' Rule, Beth failed all three challenges and did not win immunity. After the challenge, Beth and Lindsay tried to form an allience to get rid of Duncan with Harold and Owen. Harold agreed but Owen wanted to vote off Courtney despite her immunity. At the ceremony Beth distracted Lindsay which caused her to accidentally press her own button and along with Duncan and Courtney's votes led to her elimination. Beth blamed herself for distracting her but Lindsay said it wasn't her fault. After Lindsay's elimination, Beth was forced to continue on without her.

Beth's audition tape to join Total Drama Island shows her attempt to sing. She is very off-key and is cut off by her father yelling at her off-screen, but says that she will be famous one day. She then says they will see, and then smiles.
Camp TV
Beth's Camp TV Design.
Beth, as with the majority of the characters, was included in Camp TV and was featured in the promo, though she did not have any lines. In the original show, she seemed to be part of a nerdy trio alongside Harold and (presumably) Cody. In her original design, Beth was about Harold's height and thinner. She looks vaguely similar to another glasses-wearing character from a different series.
Trivia
- Beth returns to Total Drama Action as a competitor.
- She is the only female competitor with dotted eyes on the show. (DJ's mom also has dotted eyes but she is not a contestant.)
- She is the first camper to arrive in Not So Happy Campers - Part 1.
- She also is one of the characters who squealed "EEEEE!". The others being Lindsay, Noah, Molotov, Katie and Sadie.
- Beth is the only female camper from the Screaming Gophers that did not make it to the team merge in Total Drama Island.
- When Beth still had her braces, she often spat as she talked. As of Monster Cash, Beth has gotten her braces removed. It should be noted that she is the only camper/castmate who has ever been seen wearing braces.
- She is the shortest girl on the show, and shortest character overall.
- Her swimsuit was modeled after the uniforms from Star Trek.
- In her audition, Beth sings the names of actual songs (yet none of the lyrics are correct). They are Sk8er Boi by Avril Lavigne, I'll Be There For You by Bon Jovi (I'll Be There For You is also the name of the theme song from Friends), and Call Me by Blondie.
- In Alien Resurr-eggtion Beth mentions the ways of Buddha, implying that she might be a Buddhist. However, she has also said "Holy crap" and wanted to tell Justin he was a "surfing god". This also marks the second time religion is mentioned on the show, the first was in the first episode where Lindsay misunderstood the word "communal" and said she was not Catholic. The fact that she brought Justin tofu instead of real bacon in Beach Blanket Bogus further supports it, suggesting she might be vegetarian.
- It is possible that she is jealous of Lindsay. She states to like Lindsay's hair, seen in 3:10 to Crazytown, when if Lindsay dies, she want to have her hair. She is seen to also compliment Lindsay on some of the most unimportant things that she does. Though, this may only possibly her "desperate" or "wannabe" type of personality shining.
- Despite her appearance and personality, Beth can be admirably brave in times of crisis, shown by the way she handled her worst fear in Phobia Factor and being the only castmate willing to investigate strange noises in Alien Resurr-eggtion. In fact, the only time she showed any sort of real fear was when she didn't jump off the cliff in Not So Happy Campers Part 2.
- She and Harold were the only campers to wear glasses.
- Beth is shown wearing a retainer in The Chefshank Redemption.
- Beth states, in The Sand Witch Project, that she cannot scream due to a doctor dropping an earring in her throat during her tonsillectomy. She has screamed in previous episodes, however.
- Beth seems to have a friendship with the Sharks, as seen in both Haute Camp-ture and the theme song for Total Drama Action, where she is sitting with them.
- Beth is the last female member of the Screaming Gophers to be voted off before the teams dissolved. Technically, she is also the first, since Izzy was not technically voted off in Up the Creek.
- Beth is the only remaining competitor in Total Drama Action that has never received a final marshmallow/award.
- In Dial M for Merger, Beth is seen with her glasses off for the first time.
- Beth is the only Grip that made it to the merge that did not take charge of her team at any point during the course of Total Drama Action.
- Even though it was slightly confirmed in Total Drama, Drama, Drama, Drama Island, Dial M for Merger now confirms that Beth has dotted eyes.
- Beth is the only character with a possible nonexistent relationship.
- Beth wears children's size four as said in Princess Pride.
- Princess Pride is the second episode Beth's friendship bracelets were shown.
- In The Aftermath: III, Heather admitted that she considered Beth a threat.
- Beth is the lowest ranked castmate that's still in the competition in Total Drama Action.
- With Lindsay's elimination in Rock n' Rule,Beth is the only female protagonist left on the show, as Courtney is an antagonist.
- Also she is the only female Screaming Gopher left on the show, which is kind of ironic, since technically she was first female Gopher to have been voted off in the first season, and the only one not to be a merge contestant.
