This article focuses on the interactions between Bowie and Raj.
Overview[]
Bowie and Raj have their first major interaction in Drown Town Abbey, where they quickly hit it off in spite of their contrasting personalities. After that moment, they both gradually develop feelings for each other throughout the season. While Bowie is openly gay, Raj never came to terms with his true sexuality at the time, believing he was straight. Raj began to realize over time that he really is gay and that he wanted to be Bowie's boyfriend. Bowie, while originally not planning on finding a boyfriend in the competition, grew charmed by Raj's adorable personality. So much so, it made him deviate from his self-oriented behavior time and time again. Eventually, the two agree to hook up after the competition, mainly to avoid damaging their relationship in a competitive, drama-focused environment. They take things slow and support each other the best they can. They become the first couple to get together in the reboot and the first gay couple in Total Drama history.
In season two, it's revealed that the two are still together and are on the same team again, as Bowie made sure of it. Bowie in particular has shown to have changed for the better, partly because of Raj's positive influence on him. However, Raj is heartbroken when Bowie joins Julia and MK in cheating in You Poor Saps. Bowie lies to Raj, from Choosin' for a Bruisin' to Ice to Beat You, about not cheating in challenges. Despite their initial differing views on cheating in challenges, the two of them ultimately make amends and end up stronger than ever when Bowie ultimately chooses to stop cheating and side with him and Wayne in refusing to cheat.
Total Drama Island (2023)[]
Meet the Victims[]
Bowie and Raj were put on the Frogs of Death. On the boy's side of their team's cabin, Wayne and Raj are discussing how their team has some hotties. Bowie drops off all of his stuff and tells Raj and Wayne that if they wanted to talk about him, he would leave them alone and give them some privacy.
Pirates of the Cabbagean[]
Bowie and Raj don't interact much in this episode, but after Wayne accidentally realizes a great game strategy, he and Raj begin discussing it using hockey terminology. Bowie doesn't understand and yells at them to speak English. After properly understanding, Bowie approves and decides the team should definitely implement that idea. Later in his confessional, Bowie mused on how Raj and Wayne think that bees, not maple trees, make maple syrup instead of honey, as they plan on taking a career in beekeeping if hockey doesn't work out for them and they like maple syrup.
Drown Town Abbey[]
Bowie goes to Raj's table, complaining about how the breakfast was torture. Raj tells him he has experienced worse, recounting the time he swallowed three teeth, two of which weren't his. As he is telling the story, some food gets on Bowie's shirt. Raj tries to wipe it off but Bowie holds his hand and said it is fine, leaving Raj quite flustered. Bowie leaves when Wayne and Raj are challenging each other on who could eat breakfast the fastest. During the challenge, Raj and Wayne are watching him effortlessly take on the obstacle course, with Wayne being impressed by his moves and Raj saying he looked great before backpedaling to say he was doing great. Bowie high-fives the Hockey Bros after finishing his part of the course, to which Raj compliments his "nice hustle" and Bowie thanks him back.
Numbskull Island[]
Bowie, Wayne, Raj, and MK go to find the skull. Wayne and Raj come up with a plan, filled with hockey terms, to get said skull. In the confessional, Bowie admits that the Hockey Bros remind him of puppies-not the smartest but adorable. MK asks if Bowie understood what they said, responding that he didn't but thought the two were acting rather adorable. After separating from MK to distract Scary Girl, the three get close to the Ferocious Trouts' base. Just before Raj gets crushed by a rolling boulder, Bowie lunges out and pushes him away, falling on top of him after they land. In the confessional, Raj is a little confused on how he feels about that, implying this was when he started questioning his orientation. Raj and Bowie are hiding behind a barrier, only for Ripper's fart to disgust them so much that they retreat.
Jurassic Fart[]
Bowie is at the beach during sundown when Raj comes by to check up on him. Raj tells him he is glad he is okay, and Bowie responds that he is much better than okay. Raj laughs at the comment and blushes at him.
The Launchback of Notre Game[]
Bowie describes Wayne and Raj as looking cozy in the catapult; Raj looks flustered, immediately explaining that they're teammates. Bowie drops into the tapioca pudding to save Raj from the "tapioca shark." Raj immediately stops his flailing and turns to Bowie, happy to see him, as they have a brief conversation. Out of impulse and he couldn't hold in his urges anymore, Raj suddenly kisses him on the lips, unaware Wayne and the shark are watching. In the confessional, Bowie casually said that was interesting, while Raj said it felt right to kiss him. Bowie later said that he didn't find the day all bad, as he got kissed by a very fine boy.
Severe Eggs and Pains[]
In a confessional, Raj says that the craziest thing that happened to him the day before was the kiss he shared with Bowie. When the two meet up in the woods, Raj is blushing at him, while Bowie is lovingly staring at him. After Emma leaves to give them some privacy, they talk about what happened the other day. Raj apologizes for impulsively kissing him, and while Bowie forgives him since he did enjoy the kiss, he does warn him that he would inevitably have to turn on him when they get further in the game. However, Bowie assures him they could resume their relationship when the game is over, and they proceed to make out, only to be interrupted by Emma running away from a cassowary. Raj and Wayne end up having severe injuries, and Bowie ends up having to tell Chris to call the hospital to evacuate them, which ends up getting them disqualified.
The Wheel of Vomit[]
As he put his slipper on, Bowie found a used mouth guard and poem Raj left for him. In the confessional, Bowie reads the poem, and Raj talks about how he's given Bowie his mouth guard, which has been in his mouth. Bowie begins daydreaming about Raj before catching himself being distracted. He impulsively put the mouth guard in his mouth, then reacted in disgust. He then began chewing a lot of gum to get the taste out, only for Julia to get it in his hair. He later confesses that Raj's mouth guard is nowhere near as bad as the food the contestants have to eat.
The Truth, The Pole Truth and Nothing But the Truth[]
While in the confessional, Bowie takes a look at the confessionals that MK recorded. He thanks her for organizing them in folders, as it allows him to easily find one of the last Raj confessionals that MK recorded before her elimination. In the confessional, Raj admits that Bowie makes him feel that there is more to life than hockey, even if it does sound crazy. Bowie finds it sweet and pretty deep for someone like Raj to say.
Magma Cum Laude[]
Raj, along with Wayne, is one of Bowie's vocal supporters in the finale. Raj waves at Bowie when he sees him, and Bowie returns a happy smile. Accordingly, Bowie immediately tries to get Raj as a helper, but Chris butts in, explaining the choice is random, so Bowie unfortunately ends up with Julia instead. When Priya wins, Raj looks sad at Bowie losing. They then embrace hours later during the last Campfire Ceremony and both look happy at qualifying for the next season.
Total Drama Island (2024)[]
The Pink Painter Strikes Again[]
The two return to the island for a second season, still remaining strong as boyfriends. Raj encourages Bowie to apologize to the cast for his past transgressions and manipulations from the previous season. In the confessional, Bowie tells Raj he was right since it relieved such a huge weight off his shoulders, but Raj sits there dumbstruck as Bowie is unaware about the contestants still being mad at him for his backhanded apology. When picking his team, Bowie chooses Raj first, who in turn enthusiastically hugged him, and picks Wayne next, albeit reluctantly, to make Raj happy.
Taking It to the Rim Reaper[]
As Bowie gives Ripper relationship advice, he says to simply be direct about it, reasoning that it worked with Raj. Raj agrees. Bowie tries warning the Hockey Bros as they try going for the three-pointer together. After the two are stuck, Bowie unsuccessfully tries getting them out.
You Poor Saps[]
As Julia and MK present Bowie and the Hockey Bros with the opportunity to join them in cheating, Bowie tries encouraging the Hockey Bros to think lightly of it. However, he is hesitant to go on after seeing Raj and Wayne cry.
Choosin' for a Bruisin'[]
As Bowie watches Raj fishing on the dock, the two talk about the last episode’s events. Bowie is sorry for cheating; however, he instantly agrees to join with MK again after she passes by, saying she’s getting ready for more unfair play. This earns him a glare from Raj. Bowie watches with shock as Raj falls after getting his question wrong. After watching Bowie and MK choose different answers, Raj is assured that Bowie can’t be cheating, unaware that they were in on a plan he’d been kept in the dark about. Raj is impressed with Bowie’s dancing, hugging him and praising him for his moves and for doing well in the challenge without cheating as well. Bowie feels guilty for lying to Raj.
Ice to Beat You[]
Bowie is still feeling guilty about cheating and lying to Raj about it, attempting to ask Julia to stop cheating, only for his pleas to fall on deaf ears. He feels uneasy about keeping this secret from Raj throughout the challenge. After Raj finds out about their team cheating again and that Bowie helped in cheating in the previous episode, he is disappointed by this and questions how Bowie is okay with this. Upon realizing his mistake in letting the team cheat, Bowie is given the final push to side with Raj and Wayne in refusing to cheat, and the three of them start a snowball fight with Julia, MK, and Ripper to get them to stop sabotaging Team Rat Face. When they still end up winning the challenge anyway, Bowie feels guilty when seeing how upset Raj and Wayne feel about how legitimate their victory was.
Canoe Believe It?[]
Raj and Bowie, along with Wayne, are eating breakfast together when Chris announces the merge. The two boyfriends quickly pair up for the challenge, only to be shocked that they will be sparring with each other. The two were very reluctant to strike each other. Eventually Bowie, who is one of the cast's most hated contestants and thus needed immunity more than Raj, reluctantly hit Raj and knocked him down, a move that Raj isn’t mad about and instead compliments his choice to hit him in the face.
Regardless, Bowie was eliminated, much to Raj's sadness. Bowie encourages him to continue on without him.
Fun Fight at the O'Cake Corral[]
Initially, Raj disliked the idea of working with Julia due to causing his boyfriend's elimination.
Haulin' n' Ballin'[]
In a confessional, Raj says he'd be sad and confused if Bowie pretended to like him to get further in the game.
Circling the Drain[]
Raj points at Bowie's icon and looks happy to see his face before getting the goose punishment.
Working K9 to Five[]
During his elimination, Raj gives Bowie a shout-out by telling him to put on his dancing shoes because they're going out on a date.
Soar Losers[]
The two return to the island for the finale and act as Wayne's biggest supporters. They can be seen smiling at each other lovingly throughout the episode. Raj tries to encourage Wayne to get his head in the game, only to get distracted by the strawberry-flavored ice cream. This causes Bowie to facepalm and claim that some jocks are lost without a coach. This gets him to encourage both Raj and Wayne to focus on the competition with a very short speech, ending with a "Go, Snow Owls!" cry. In Raj's confessional, he looks lovingly at the camera, asking the audience if Bowie is great.
Raj throws two t-shirts at Wayne, causing Bowie to slightly get annoyed by telling him the latter is trying to win a million bucks and doesn't care about a shirt. He quickly stands corrected when Wayne is happy about said shirts, and Raj smugly claims that his boyfriend was wrong. In Bowie's confessional, he nervously says that there are a lot of types of smarts and is sure Raj is one of them.
Later, Raj gives Wayne less pleasant advice by telling him not to fall, which confuses Bowie. In their confessional, Bowie asks if his boyfriend's advice was helpful, and Raj thinks it is because "falling is bad." The two are shown to be celebrating Wayne's victory at the campfire ceremony.
