Izzy nominates Chef for the Daycare Professional of the Year award and will do whatever it takes to see him win. As it turns out, it takes a lot.
Plot[]
Chef is reading a book to Duncan, Cody, Beth and Leshawna when he notices Izzy flicking through television channels. He tells her that it isn't TV time though Izzy tells him to watch. On TV, Chris reads out the nominations for the "Educational Professional of the Year" competition with Chef listed as the final nominee. Izzy switches the TV off and tells Chef that she nominated him as he's the best teacher she's ever had. Chef then reminds Izzy that he's the only teacher she's ever had. Chef says that he isn't a good teacher but he teaches well, to which Izzy replies that he's a "well" teacher, Chef tells Izzy that in her sentence, she should have used the word "Good". Izzy tells Chef to be grateful and to move on. Chef says that he is grateful but then Duncan asks him if he's ever seen this kind of show before, Chef says he hasn't. Duncan says it's his favorite event of the year because "teachers get destroyed", the thought of this making Chef extremely nervous.
Duncan turns the TV back on and Chris presents footage from the previous year's event showing an unnamed teacher falling off a pile of boxes into a horde of lions. Chef is scared by this, even more so when Duncan explains that it has nothing to do with teaching and is just to show teachers getting hurt, also noting how happy he is that Chef will be competing. Izzy says that she is confident that Chef is going to win before realizing that Chef is no longer there. Chef is then seen at the Airport, wondering how far he can fly for $36.57. Chef is thrown off the plane before the end of the Runway and is approached by an Airport baggage cart driven by Izzy who says she can't believe he attempted to run away. Chef tells Izzy and Cody that he cannot compete which is met with reassurance from Cody, who thinks his advice is comparable to wiping his bum and not fighting lions. Izzy begs for him to enter the competition and offers to help him train, an offer which Chef reluctantly accepts.
Back at the daycare, Cody, Izzy, Beth and Leshawna have created an obstacle course for Chef to train on though Chef refuses to go through with it. Izzy then sees a cat enter the course and chases it until it lands in a shredder which shaves it's fur off. Leshawna notes that Izzy went though the course with ease. Chef then gives it a go but fails at the first hurdle. After more training, Chef is instructed to stand on a bowling pin, causing his face to freeze and him to become unresponsive. Beth asks what they're gonna do and Izzy says she has a plan though she believes it's cheating.
In the stadium, Chris opens the competition and Jerry runs through the course before being mauled by the crocodiles. Chris calls for an evacuation and Estelle takes her turn. As Estelle progresses, Izzy applies joint manipulators that she won in a chess game against the Secretary of Defense to Chef's body which will allow her to control him remotely. Estelle then finishes her task, putting a parka on a crocodile, something that the now controlled Chef does with ease. By the final challenge, Estelle and Chef are tied. Both face setbacks in the final challenge but a drone camera is knocked towards Izzy who is holding the remote that controls Chef. Estelle throws piranhas out of a small pool which bite the lock of the cage where the crocodiles are stored. The crocodiles then chase Izzy, Beth and Duncan. Chef has reached the end of the course and is about to ring the bell when he regains consciousness, spotting the kids in danger, he ditches the win in favor of saving the kids. Chef saves the kids and Estelle makes it to the end of the course and rings the bell. Izzy apologizes to Chef for pushing him to win, At first he's glad she learned a valuable lesson, but gets confused when she mentions sour gummies. Suddenly, Chris then announces that Chef's actions proved to the judges that he truly cares for the kids in his care and they declare him the winner.
Chef then turns off the TV whilst holding the trophy, noting how it is the most painful thing that's ever happened to him but thanks Izzy all the same. Izzy then says that the winner is automatically entered into next year's competition and the episode ends with Chef screaming in terror about having to go through everything again.
