As the merge officially hits and an idol is put into play, the contestants compete in a bout of Canoe Jousting. One contestant learns how another feels about their admirer and struggles with what to do with this information, unaware that the alliance’s growing bond later causes their romantic feelings to become mutual. One contestant gets exposed by the host for cheating and is put through the wringer for it. In the end, a surprising underdog wins immunity, and a former runner-up is sent home over a cheater after the latter’s ally blames the former for their actions.
Plot[]
The episode starts with Caleb doing a handstand in the woods. Zee then comes up and asks what he is doing, Caleb tells him he is doing one-arm handstand pushups, as they are good for his upper trapezius. Zee agrees because "those trapezey thingies" are important.

Zee tells Caleb he's noticed he has been spending a lot of time with Priya lately. He agrees, saying an alliance with her could take him all the way to the million dollars. Zee tells Caleb he thought he liked her, but Caleb is only interested in an alliance.
| “ | Oh boy, poor Priya. She's driving her love bus right off a cliff. | ” |
Zee drank some soda before Priya came up to him, making him spit the soda out of his mouth. Priya wanted to make sure he didn't talk to Caleb about their secret, which resulted in Zee loudly asking if she meant her having a crush on him. She shushed him because she shouldn't have told him, asking what Caleb said. Before Zee could answer, Priya yelled at him to not answer, but she asked him again, yelling at him to not answer again, telling him to not mess it up for her.

In the mess hall, Raj tells Wayne they have to win the challenge using their heads. Wayne agrees, saying his head is a weapon and doctors say it is so thick there is no room in it for anything else. On the intercom, Chris tells the campers to meet him in the dining hall as it is challenge time. Wayne says they are already there, and Raj cheers.
Chris tells the campers it is huge announcement time in the dining hall, and Julia tells him to get on with it. Chris tells Chef to do his thing. And with that, Chef walks in and shows the teams their banners, then drops them into a toxic substance, which causes an explosion and a hole in the roof.

Chris tells the contestants that the teams are now merged, everyone is now each other's sworn enemy, and only one person can win immunity, which means everyone else is up for elimination. Julia says competitively that it is on.
| “ | With the teams merging, I can't control the vote, and Julia's like a hungry dog eyeing a char-broiled Bowie burger! I need to win immunity today. | ” |
Chris says because the teams are merging, the immunity idol will now be in play, and it will be very hard to find. Wayne says it can't be in his head as there is no room. Raj tells Chris that Wayne was in a medical journal, and he believes that. Chris adds on that whoever finds the idol can use it at elimination to save themselves from being voted off and tells them they can look for it in their free time but right now, it is challenge time.
| “ | I'm only better than the other competitors at a few things: I can scream louder, and run away faster. Neither of those will win me that million dollars. I need that Immunity Idol! | ” |
Outside the dining hall, Chris tells them that the challenge involves canoeing, so they need to grab a partner and head to the lake. MK tells him they can't all pair up, as they are an odd number now. Chris realizes that she’s right and tells everyone but MK to find a partner.

Wayne yells, "Go Snow Owls!" planning to partner up with Raj, but he already promised Bowie he would partner up with him. Wayne says he will partner up with Damien instead. He tries to high-five Damien, but he is already teaming up with Zee. As his third option, Wayne plans on asking Ripper, but is too disgusted by him and Axel's making out to even go up to them. Due to everyone else having a partner, Julia is stuck with Wayne, who reminds him not to talk. Wayne keeps talking to her anyway, annoying Julia. MK looks at everyone with their partners before nervously asking Chris why she's the one without a partner. Chris says that, if she wants a partner, she can work with one of the interns, and that he knows the perfect one. Chris says he doesn't see the intern anywhere, describing him by saying he's exactly MK's height and has nervous deceitful eyes and a mustache before he pulls out a marker and doodles a mustache on MK's face before saying that he now sees the intern, while exposing MK’s ruse.

Chris calls it impressive that MK dressed as an intern to get information on challenges so their team could win by cheating, which shocks and angers the former members of Team Rat Face. Especially Priya who yells "WHAT?!".

Damien says that there are two things in the world he can't stand: cheaters and double dutch. Zee looks at him with a surprised expression because of the last one, which Damien explains that it's because there are too many ropes. Chris blows an airhorn and tells them to go to the lake and that more information will be given once they get there.
| “ | [wipes the fake mustache off] So I guess I'll be carrying my own canoe! How hard could it be? | ” |
Everyone runs to the lake while carrying their canoes, but MK struggles behind, who believes it bites, but she's gone through worse on the show as a bunny climbs on top.
Raj and Bowie narrate for themselves as they dodge all the obstacles in their path. Bowie says he feels bad for the other teams because they are too good, and Raj agrees, believing they'll be unbeatable no matter what.
As they navigate through the woods and to the lake, Wayne keeps talking into the canoe and making it echo, annoying Julia greatly.
| “ | Wayne and I are currently partners, but don't worry, I'm making a mental note to hurt him after the challenge. | ” |
As Caleb runs while carrying their canoe, Priya sits inside it. He asks her how long it's been since the canoe was last washed, and Priya compares it to her dad's shoes, so likely never. Caleb laughs and calls her funny as Damien believes love is in the air. Zee tries to assure him that Caleb is just using his charm and muscles to form an alliance with Priya, which Damien says is exactly what flirting is, surprising Zee.
| “ | He's flirting? Woah! That's like what you do when you like-like someone! But he doesn't like Priya... not like like Priya likes him, and now I'm like... stuck in the middle of this! I don't like it. | ” |
MK struggles to carry her canoe, as there's a bunny, raccoon, moose, seagull, deer, and two skunks on top. She shakes them off and yells out that is the reason she supports clear-cutting.
| “ | I don't, but when I'm mad I say stuff I don't mean. | ” |
Chris wears a crown as Chef blows a horn, leading Ripper to believe they traveled back in time. Axel says that he isn't smart, but she finds that hot as they start making out again. Chris tells the campers that he is their king and that they must entertain him as MK struggles over while Chris says he hopes she learned her lesson.
| “ | That was my punishment for cheating? Heh, carrying a canoe down a hill? Huh, wow, [chuckles] I got off easy! Cool. | ” |
Zee tells Chris that Damien said he was a "level 8 wizard squire," so they've got the challenge made, upsetting Damien.
| “ | Not something I was planning on sharing with everyone. | ” |
The challenge is titled "canoe jousting." Chris reveals a twist on the challenge, saying that the people who partnered with each other would be fighting each other. Bowie and Raj are shocked, Ripper holds his girlfriend and mutters out an "Uh-huh," Priya and Caleb look at each other shocked and worried, and Julia cheers while Wayne looks at her worried. Due to it being the merge, only one camper would receive immunity. As she didn't get a partner, MK makes a joke about how she's meant to fight the "mustachioed version" of herself, only for Chris to say that he had found her opponent in the woods. MK turns and sees an angry bear and runs for her life. Chris tells her that cheating is cool, but he's mad that she stole his hairdryer and caused him to have a bad hair day on international TV as MK climbs up a pole to get away from the bear lashing out at her.

| “ | Not getting off easy. It's a bear! [bear bursts in the confessional, scaring MK] | ” |
The contestants get on their canoes as Chris directs them to swim to shore once they fall into the water. He then informs MK that her bear was given boxing gloves as she is then punched in the face.
The first round begins with Ripper telling Axel that he won't let Chris tear them apart. However, once he tells Chris they need new partners, Axel hits him into the water as Chef says, "Love hurts." Chris announces that Axel has won this round. In the confessional, Ripper says Axel can't believe what she just did, and Axel responds with how couples make up when they fight.
Caleb and Priya fight, but it seems like a more playful than vicious way. Chris, probably not liking how nobody is being injured, tells Priya she can hit harder than she was doing at the moment.
| “ | I don't wanna hurt Caleb. What if I left a mark on that beautiful face? [giggles] | ” |
| “ | Of course I'm going easy. Batting Priya into the sun would pretty much end our alliance. I'm playing the long game here. | ” |
Bowie and Raj look at each other hesitantly, not wanting to hurt the other. They both say "So..." before smiling at each other.
| “ | Bowie and I are in such a great place right now that I'm worried he might not, y'know... give 'er! | ” |
| “ | I really like Raj, but like I said, I need immunity today! | ” |
Bowie hits Raj directly in the face, instantly feeling bad for him and going to check on him. Raj pops out and holds his cheek, but compliments Bowie's hit since it hit him "right in the chompers."
Priya and Caleb continue going easy on each other, playfully trash-talking as well. Caleb finally asks if she wants to play for real, and so she tells him to bring it, to which Caleb tells her that he’ll bring it in a reusable bag full of pain.

| “ | Canoe jousting with Priya is the best date I've ever been on. She's really fun to be with. [realizes what he just said] | ” |
Zee tells Damien that he's ready whenever Damien is before he drinks some of his soda. Damien tells himself to remember everything he learned at Dungeons and Flying Lizards Camp as he prepares to hit Zee. He lands two hits on Zee's head, who says he wasn't ready each time, despite having said he was ready right before. Damien then knocks his soda into the water, which Zee told him was not cool.
Priya and Caleb fight each other for real, telling each other that they'll knock the other off. They then throw their weapons and hit each other at the same time, smiling as they hit the water, and both get eliminated from the challenge. Priya asks Caleb what they should do now, and he suggests they sneak off and go look for the idol, which she agrees to.
| “ | I know it's not a date. I'm not thinking of it as a date, but it's kinda like a date. [giggles] Whatever. | ” |
MK continues being hit by the bear while not getting any hits in herself as Chris says she isn't successfully wearing out the bear.
| “ | (dazed) Thankfully, my helmet prevents me from sustaining drain bamage... | ” |
Damien keeps trying to hit Zee while Zee keeps dodging, not trying to hit him back. Eventually, Damien hits Zee's dueling stick into the water, telling "Sir Soda-man" to prepare to yield before he raises his own weapon and shouts out a battle cry while Zee looks at him fearfully.
| “ | Maybe I can teeter-totter myself out of this sitch. | ” |
Zee jumps on the canoe, flinging Damien into the air which takes him by surprise. Zee smirks because he thinks that he's won, but Damien jumps on the canoe as well upon landing, flinging Zee into the water. As he pops back up, Zee finds the soda he previously lost, smiling as he drinks it again.
Meanwhile, Caleb and Priya search for the immunity idol in the woods, with Priya not finding it in shrub #197, with Caleb adding that it might take a while to find, considering the fact that Chris said it won’t be easy to find. Priya says that it's not a problem because her parents once made her find a needle in an actual haystack because it would teach her the patience required to win reality show challenges. Caleb says that what she's saying sounds fun and that he didn't get to have fun until he finished his never-ending homework. Priya says that she'd take the haystack instead as Caleb says that both their parents were a little "much", with Priya saying it was something they had in common.
Wayne and Julia fight as Wayne shouts "Joust!" every time he tries to hit her, annoying Julia, who tells him that he doesn't have to say the word as he's doing it.
| “ | Ugh, okay, my arms are getting pretty tired, and I need this to end. Now. | ” |
Julia lets Wayne hit her, and while it was a very light tap, she pretends to be hurt and upset that Wayne would hit a girl. Feeling bad for his actions and assuming he hurt her, Wayne apologizes and says he didn't mean to before Julia hit him hard. Instead of being hit into the water right away, Wayne hit his groin on the corner of the canoe and gasped for air as Ripper, Zee and Raj who previously got out are shocked and worried for him, as they know how painful that must've been. He then falls into the water in pain after shouting "No jock!", meaning he wasn't wearing a cup then, hence why it hurt so much. Chris announces that Julia wins this round.
| “ | You don't get called a drama queen for nothing. You have to work at your craft. | ” |
The bear is continuously punching MK, giving her bruises and a bruised ego.
| “ | Okay. This beast ain’t gonna fall in the water by itself, so I’m gonna hit a bear! Wish me luck. | ” |
MK tries to hit a bear. But the bear grabs ahold of MK’s dueling stick and throws her up and down. MK tries to surrender, but Chris tells her that there’s no giving up and that the battle only ends when the opponent is in the water. MK tries getting in the water, but the bear flung her into the lake. Chris announces that the second round will be Damien going up against Julia, while Bowie takes on Axel. Chris tells the bear he's done for the day, and the bear boos at Chris before punching MK one last time.
Round two was just getting started. Chris announces that he added sharks to make the second round harder. Damien freaks out and asked Chris why did he have to put sharks in every water challenge, to which Chef answers that it’s because the lions kept drowning. The second round commences as Bowie and Axel battle each other. Raj cheers for Bowie to kick Axel’s butt and Ripper cheers for Axel to take Bowie out.
| “ | Axel can’t lose. She has no weaknesses. Zero! | ” |
Bowie tries to distract Axel by telling her that her boots are untied, but Axel wasn’t falling for it. But then Bowie tells Axel that Ripper gives mouth-to-mouth resuscitation to a raccoon, Axel turns to look and Bowie knocks her down.
| “ | She only lost, cuz, she thought I was making out with a raccoon. I guess her one weakness is her love for me. (Raises his eyebrows again) | ” |
Axel recovers, but there was a shark coming at her. Ripper gets scared, while Chris gets out his phone. But, Axel, being Axel, tells the shark not to think about attacking her.
Meanwhile, Caleb and Priya continued looking for the idol, with the latter telling the former that she sometimes wished her parents would let her make her own decisions. Caleb agrees saying not everyone's meant to be a space engineer before sharing his true ambitions of being an environmental engineer that occasionally plays golf. Priya says out loud that she couldn't like Caleb more than she does before she realizes her mistake. Luckily for her, Caleb didn't catch what Priya said.
| “ | Ugh! What am I doing!? "Do not fall for another competitor" is literally rule number 12 on page 2 of the handbook! But he's so amazing! Ugh! Stop it! | ” |
Caleb believes that they might not be able to find the idol today and suggests that they head back to the challenge. Priya suggests that they try again tomorrow and Caleb agrees, leaving Priya starstruck.

Back at the challenge, Damien and Julia continue their battle, when a shark ate one part of Julia’s dueling stick, scaring Damien. Julia tries hitting Damien with the sharp end of her dueling stick, but she ends up hitting herself when Damien blocked her strike, which knocks her off of the canoe and into the lake. Chris announces that Julia is out of the tourney.
Chris announces that the final round will be between Damien and Bowie and Chris realizes what was missing for this to be jousting; horses. Chris announces that it’s exactly how they did it in the olden days.

Chris tells Bowie and Damien that whoever manages to knock down their opponent will win immunity.
| “ | I should've been going up against Julia, but, Damien got lucky. Which means I got very lucky. | ” |
Bowie tells Damien to jump in the water, that he doesn't want to hurt him and reminds him of what he did to Axel.
| “ | Bowie's right. My odds aren’t great. But, if I’m gonna lose, I wanna get it one good shot, then, I could go out like a true knight with dignity. | ” |
The third and final round begins just as Caleb and Priya got back, with latter getting surprised and asked what they missed while they’re gone.
| “ | Dear editors! Please make sure my amazing victory gets the slow-mo treatment it deserves. | ” |
Damien throws his dueling stick like a javelin, hitting Bowie in the face and he falls in the water. Chris announces Damien’s win and remarks that he didn’t see that one coming, to which Chef remarks, "Every day’s a shock!"

| “ | [gasps] Bowie lost?! Oh. Amazing! Okay. Let’s see if I can get enough votes to send him packing! | ” |
At the elimination ceremony, Chris tells the campers that the first challenge without a team to help them is always hard. and he stated that some of them couldn't Bear-it. and the bear boos at Chris again before he walks off. And with that, Chef starts explaining why some campers would be at risk of elimination. MK is a risk because of the fact that she was outed as the cheater she was and Chef wonders if her fellow competitors would be as forgiving as Chris was.
| “ | Forgiving? Is that a joke?! I got beat up by a bear! | ” |
Chef tells Bowie that he made it to the final round, but, lost to Damien and that his enemies are piling up fast. Caleb and Priya were both at risk for losing the first round and then, they snuck off in hopes of finding the immunity idol, but, they never found it, meaning that they may or may not be safe from elimination.
| “ | I hope Priya isn’t going home. She’s actually kind of amazing, smart, funny, pretty. Maybe there could be more than just an alliance between us. | ” |
Caleb then puts a flower in Priya's hair, as Zee watches them.
| “ | Caleb is just a big flirt machine. Aww, man! Priya won’t be happy when she figures it out. | ” |
Wayne, Raj, Julia, Zee, Ripper, Axel, Caleb and Priya all received marshmallows, leaving Bowie and MK at the bottom two. Although very disappointed, Chris gives the last marshmallow to MK, while Bowie gets eliminated. Raj was sad at Bowie’s elimination. But, Bowie tells him that there’s no time to be sad and that he plays to win, so, he can tell everyone that his boyfriend is a millionaire. Raj, on the verge of tears, blows his nose on a tissue and gives it to Bowie so that he won’t forget him, to which Bowie reluctantly accepts and heads to the Dock of Shame.

The Drone of Despair takes Bowie away while doing a gay-like pose as he leaves the island. Chris said, "And Joust-like that." before the bear boos at Chris one last time, and he stated that the last season's runner-up is heading home, also saying that no one is truly safe. as Chris signs-off the episode!

- Axel, Caleb, Damien, and MK make it to the merge for the first time in the series.
- As a result, every male from the fourth generation has made the merge at least once.
- In addition, Scary Girl and Nichelle are the only contestants of the reboot cast, as well as the only females, to have yet to reach the merge as a result of their eliminations.
- This is the earliest merge in the entire series, as it takes place in the sixth episode of the season with eleven out of sixteen contestants left.
- The earliest merge before this season was in Total Drama Island (2023), taking place in the seventh episode.
- This is also the second largest merge in the series, with eleven contestants. The largest was in Total Drama Island (2007), with twelve.
- This marks the first episode of the reboot where a male contestant wins individual invincibility.
- When everyone pairs up to take a canoe, Priya and Caleb are the only Ferocious Trout and Frog of Death pairing, while Axel and Ripper are the only Rat Face and Skunk Butt pairing.

- The challenge is similar to the one seen in the Opening Sequence of Total Drama All-Stars.
- The immunity idol is reintroduced into the game after its last appearance in Total Drama All-Stars.
- Instead of the McLean-Brand Chris Head however, the new immunity idol resembles a bobble head version of the Gilded Chris Award.
- This is the third episode where a vicious animal has busted into the confessional and scared the person inside.
- The first time was with Scott and a giant beaver in Truth or Laser Shark and the second time was with Zee and a cassowary in Severe Eggs and Pains.
- Chris mentions how MK stole his hairdryer and how it also caused him to have a bad hair day in the previous episode.
- The way Julia and Wayne team up due to everyone else already being taken, with her also telling him to stop talking, which he fails to do repeatedly, is similar to the way Harold and Heather teamed up in Total Drama, Drama, Drama, Drama Island.
- Unlike in Meet the Victims where Wayne avoided being hurt from a blow to the groin, he ends up taking such a hit and feeling pain because he forgot to wear a cup this time.
- This is the first episode of the reboot where Chef Hatchet uses the confessional, and the first time he uses it since Zeek and Ye Shall Find.

- Contestants pairing up for the challenge in teams of two only to learn that they'll be competing against each other once it's too late is a reference to the marbles game of Squid Game. Furthermore, much like in the show, one contestant is left as the odd one out due to uneven number of contestants left. However, the difference is that instead of being given a free pass, Chris selects a bear as a partner for MK.
Goofs[]
- The marker mustache that MK wipes off is stained on her arm for the whole scene, but is gone the next scene.
- Raj has a mark on his face after getting hit in the water, but it is gone when he pops back up.
- Axel somehow ends up getting a black eye after getting defeated by Bowie, but he didn't hit her in the eye.
- When Wayne and Raj are talking in the main lodge, if you stop for a split second, Raj has no eyebrows.
- Despite winning immunity, he is not shown receiving a marshmallow.
