Chase was a camper on Total Drama Island (2023) as a member of the Ferocious Trout. He returned for Total Drama Island (2024) as a member of Team Skunk Butt.
Personality[]
Chase is an internet celebrity and a daredevil to the extreme. He enjoys performing dangerous and crazy stunts and is a big prankster. He's selfish, egotistical, and delusional. He still calls Emma his 'babe' even after they broke up and constantly flirts with her, often oblivious to the fact that they are through. He doesn't even know what the word selfless means and when he learns, he ends up asking who would be like that.
Much later in the season, Chase is shown to get hurt a lot mostly caused by Emma who enjoys seeing him suffer. Chase is also called out by the main antagonist Julia herself in a confessional, calling him a bad person. In The Truth, The Pole Truth and Nothing But the Truth, we get to see what interactions Chase and Emma had off camera, which reveals that Chase is incredibly lacking in common sense, reckless and though the intention is good, his actions have no regard for the feelings and safety of other people. These include giving Emma's uncle a goat kidney, naming a star after Emma under the name "Chase's Girlfriend" and planned to legally change her name to that, and accidentally crippling Emma's mother by cutting down a tree trying to rescue Emma's cat. Despite his self-centeredness, Chase isn't fundamentally malicious and is friendly on a few occasions. He even shows genuine remorse for leaving Zee behind to be eaten by a raptor, despite still not showing any remorse for cutting Emma's brakes. It's possible that Chase is a coward, as shown on a few occasions.
Total Drama Island (2023)[]
Chase realizes that Emma is on the show.
Chase is introduced in Meet the Victims and we see him water-skiing and cheering loudly as he arrives. His audition plays which reveals he's a live streamer who streams dare challenges onto his channel. It was called '3 Guys And A Girl In A Beach House', now it's just '3 Guys In A Beach House' since one day, Chase's girlfriend Emma broke up with him. Ignoring that, he and his friends prank each other, dare each other to eat crazy stuff and do wicked stunts. Emma arrives on the island, which leaves Chase shocked since he didn't know that. Emma's reaction is no better, as she screams at him and tries to attack him. During the first challenge, he and Ripper were paired together and they immediately get along after Ripper accidentally rips his pants. When he and Ripper walked into a mud pit, he accidentally took Emma's advice when she was talking to her team. Chase didn't understand why she was mad at him for cutting the brakes off her car. Eventually, he and Ripper won for their team.
In Pirates of the Cabbage'an, Chase refused to eat some squirrel that Axel had killed and served as breakfast. Chase gets knocked off the ship by Emma during the challenge, but he thought Emma did it because she was still "madly" in love with him.
In Drown Town Abbey, Chase tries to impress everyone, including Emma, but ends up failing. Chase lands on the mattress, but Emma falls on top of him, not caring one bit.
In Numbskull Island, Chase has a conversation with Priya and Millie about Nichelle's bad performance from the previous episode. When he tells Millie that she should try hard to make some friends, Priya stands up for her and tells him to try harder instead. Chase gets confused and leaves. During breakfast, Chase interacts with Emma even more, making her more annoyed. During the fourth challenge, he along with Priya and Millie tried to steal the other team's skull. Emma proceeded to shoot Chase with the water-hose, but only to miss due to a shield protecting him. Chase thanks Emma for not hitting him, much to her frustration. He and the others lost the challenge due to Scary Girl giving the other team's skull a makeover and not taking it to Chris. He and others agreed and voted her off.
Chase and Zee hold each other in fear.
In Jurassic Fart, Chase pairs up with Zee as the two ran from a raptor. When Zee's plastic leg got caught on some rocks, Chase wanted to help him, but was too scared by the raptor and ran off, leaving him behind. He eventually was the first to arrive at the Dock of Shame for his team, but he felt guilty for leaving Zee behind. Once Zee had arrived, Chase apologized for abandoning him, which Zee forgave him as he would've done the same. At the elimination ceremony, Chef calls out Chase for leaving Zee behind as it wasn't what a good team member does.
In The Launchback of Notre Game, Chase is shown to have a fear of catapults, as revealed by Emma when he chickened out in the amusement park. Priya proceeded to launch Chase, but only for him to scream and pass out at the same time. He lands in a crab pit, and meets up with a giant crab and runs away from it. After his time won the challenge, the same giant crab beats him to the ground.
Chase and Emma get back together again.
In Severe Eggs and Pains, when the teams finally merge, Chase tries to pair up with Emma, but she harshly declines and pushes him into a bush. Eventually, Julia pairs up with Chase and agrees to "help him" get Emma back. Chase quickly takes Julia's offer. The two find Emma and Bowie. The latter leave Chase and Emma alone. When they never came back, Emma asked Chase if he had planned all of this, leaving him confused. She proceeded to leave Chase behind, but he reminded her that they'll have zero present chance of winning, which left Emma no other choice. They stumble upon a cave, Emma tells Chase to give her a signal in case the bird came back. Chase follows Emma inside, and the bird eventually came back. The two ran through the cave being chased by multiple cassowaries. They quickly hid in one of the nests. Chase proceeded with his plan and offered Emma half a candy bar. Chase gets startled by a cassowaries' screech and accidentally drops one of the half's on the nest. Chase apologizes for it, but Emma mistook him and thanked him for saying it. Chase eventually gets Emma back, and the couple climb up a hole in the sealing of the cave. The arrive with no eggs for Chris, but they were happy to be alive and together again. Chase gives Julia a wink, as her plan had worked, much to her confusion. At the elimination ceremony, Chef calls out to Chase and Emma that nobody cares about them being together again. After Raj and Wayne were eliminated (due to severe injuries), Chris tells the Chase and the rest of the campers that they were safe, and he and Emma kiss again.
Ripper and Chase stumped by Zee.
In The Wheel of Vomit, Chase was in a cheerful mood as he and Emma had a make out session all night last night. Ripper sarcastically comments that kissing the same girl he kissed a hundred times isn't a big deal and Zee had no idea they used to date, dumbfounding the other two. During breakfast, Julia comes in and pushes Emma into Chase's laps, causing them both to chuckle nervously at each other. Chase and the other contestants had to eat some of Chef's disgusting dishes without vomiting. After a while, he and Emma feed each other Chef's "hair croissants". Emma happily lays on Chase's chest and was thankful he apologized for crashing her car. However, Chase was confused and stated that he was actually sorry for dropping half of the candy bar in the birds nest. This made Emma hate him again and the two began trying to gross each other out, but Chase realized they were getting close to each other and thought they were going to "make out" again. Eventually, Chase and Emma threw up on each other and get eliminated. Later on, Chase and the other contestants watch the final two eating a tape worm. Julia eventually won, but he and everyone starts vomiting everywhere. At the elimination ceremony, Chase receives a marshmallow and dances with delight, while Emma just growled.

In Paddle Field Earth, Chase was asked to join in on Emma and Bowie's alliance, in which he would try to get Emma back again. As Emma was getting hit by some flying fish, Chase paddles alongside and gives her idea of using their paddles as shields when they came towards them. Emma reluctantly agrees to this idea as it was "perfect", much to Chase's surprise and amazement. Chase pretends to play baseball and hits a fish in the air, but then it lands back down and ends up accidentally sinking Emma's canoe. Emma thought Chase had done intentionally as Chase tried to explain. Upset with Chase once again, Emma picks up a fish flown onto Chase's canoe and starts beating him up with it. After Emma gets tired from beating Chase, a bear suddenly comes down from under the canoe and throws it, Chase and Emma onto shore with a bunch of other bears. Chase tells Emma to play dead, which they did. But his plan seemed to have worked too well, as the bears threw him and Emma into a dugout hole with a gravestone. They were able to escape with the help of Zee throwing another fish at shore distracting the bears. After falling down a waterfall, Chase, Emma, and the other campers find themselves surrounded by crocodiles. Chase hid behind Emma, until the crocodiles played around with Julia. Chase and the other contestants arrive at nice beautiful area near the mountain. Chase took Emma's hand and asked if it was lovely, only for her to take her hand away from him. Chase and the others soon realized that the entire field had gazers erupting. Chase got stuck in one of the gazers and was flung into the air towards the mountain, only to fall in the bee hole. Chase begged Emma to help him, which she says she might. At the elimination ceremony, Chase was called out for accidentally sinking Emma's canoe. He even voted off Zee when he found out about his stupidity.
Chase and Emma come back together.
Chase attempts to ask Emma to take him back again in The Truth, The Pole Truth and Nothing But the Truth, trying to prove that he is indeed “selfless”. He also wanted a pole closer to her, so he could use his “Chase charms” on her. So Chase recaps several times he’s been “selfless” for Emma, all of them having some twist that makes him a worse person with each and every story. Chase is distracted by pizza deep into the challenge. He goes for it, knocking Julia and Millie off their poles and eliminating himself from the challenge. This gives Emma immunity. Chase is then voted off thanks to Bowie's deciding vote. As a goodbye, Emma kissed him again, believing that he really did sacrifice himself for her.
Chase and Emma return in the finale, making out together. Chase chooses to root for Bowie, and is disappointed when Priya wins.
Total Drama Island (2024)[]
Chase surprises his teammates with a shockingly good run.
Chase tries to talk to Emma, but fails in The Pink Painter Strikes Again, as they’d had an off screen breakup after Emma watched back episode 10. Chase attempts to joke around with Bowie about the idea of girls being irrational after Emma ignores him, only to find that Bowie isn’t agreeing with him. Chase is picked to join Team Skunk Butt. In the challenge, Chase attempts to run for it. This goes well for him until he’s taken out from behind.

In Taking It To the Rim Reaper, Emma asks him if he remembers the water slide videos for his channel, to which Chase recalls that he always got more likes for those videos than his other stuff. Emma tells Chase that if he snagged a camera and filmed himself stunting those slides, he would for sure break the internet. Chase takes a video camera from the inside of a tree, and Bowie questions Chase on what he's doing as the challenge is about to begin. Chase tells Bowie that he's going to film the greatest water slide stunt in history, and while Bowie points out that being on a TV series means that they're already being filmed at all times of the day, it falls on deaf ears as Chase begins filming anyway before Chris announces that the challenge will start in one minute. Bowie tells Chase to get a quick one-pointer to tie things up, and Emma jokingly tells Chase that no one has hit the subscribe button for a one-pointer slide. Chase continues his attempts at filming the perfect waterslide intro. hase continues trying to film his video when he gets interrupted by Bowie, who tells him that they need to get on the board and asks if he's going to go. Chase complains that he needs everyone to keep this frame clear, as this is a close set. Chase continues trying to film his video when he gets interrupted by Julia. Chase scolds Julia for interrupting his video, and because of this, he had to start over. MK sarcastically tells him that if she were him, she'd start over from birth, to which Chase says that he ain't gonna do that. Chase attempts to film his video, but he ends up falling down the cliff. At the elimination ceremony, Chef tells Chase that he didn't slide once. Chase gets eliminated because of this.
A video of Chase answering a "Would you rather?" question is shown in the challenge of Choosin' for a Bruisin'. He answers that he would rather go bald by the time he’s twenty-three than apologize for something he isn’t sorry for, as he thinks he'd still be just as awesome if he was bald.
In Soar Losers, Chase returns for the Final Three along with the rest of the eliminated competitors (Except for Scary Girl, possibly due to her not being allowed to by Chris) while water skiing behind the Yacht, before it stopped too hard and causing him to slam into the back of it. One he had recovered to the shore, he joined Zee, Ripper, Axel, Raj and Bowie to cheer on Wayne.

Chase in a helicopter explaining that fans may remember him from his livestream, "Three Guys and a Girl in a Beach House." However, the livestream is now simply called, "Three Guys in a Beach House", as his then girlfriend, Emma, stopped being a part of the group after she dumped him. Their livestream involves pranks, dares and stunts, he tries to demonstrate by jumping out of a helicopter onto an inflatable alligator, but ends up landing on his crotch. In pain, he tells viewers to subscribe if they like the video, the helicopter crashes in the background.

- According to Terry McGurrin, Chase, along with Ripper and Julia, was intentionally written as an unlikable character.
- In regards to his relationship with Emma, McGurrin said that Chase is meant to be the "self-absorbed turd" not meant to be liked unlike his girlfriend.
- Chase was confirmed by Terry McGurrin to be East-Asian Canadian.
- Terry McGurrin has acknowledged that Julius Cho was a "slam dunk" for getting the role of Chase in his first audition.
- Chase was confirmed by Terry McGurrin to have such a successful YouTube channel that he makes enough money to seem rich, but he always spends every penny every week and is always almost broke, if not for more videos.
