The Ferocious Trout is one of the two opposing teams from Total Drama Island (2023). Their logo is an angry-looking trout with fangs mounted on a pale orange circle with a red ring around it.

The team is formed in Meet the Victims, consisting of the first eight contestants to arrive on the Dock of Shame, with the only exception of Chase instead of Bowie. They win their first challenge ever thanks to their great teamwork.

Majority of the team votes for Axel to be the captain over Ripper.

In Pirates of the Cabbage'an, Axel tries to prove her worth by bringing breakfast to her teammates, which they find disgusting. Throughout the episode Axel and Ripper fight over who should be the captain. The teammates are soon eliminated from the challenge one-by-one by the Frogs of Death's strategy to shoot at them instead of their ship. Scary Girl comes up with an idea to ram the Frogs' ship to cause a tie, but Zee fails to achieve that after covering his eyes while attempting to do so, not noticing a seagull changed the direction of his ship's course. Nonetheless, he's not eliminated, as the bottom two is between Axel and Ripper, with Axel being the first teammate voted out.

Damien celebrates over being picked as the one to sit out, much to his team's annoyance.

In Drown Town Abbey, Damien gets to sit through the challenge, but at the cost of being stuck inside a tube which is being increasingly filled with water. Meanwhile, Ripper once again tries to take the leadership of his team, choosing the order in which the Trout will perform the challenge. In the end, Scary Girl manages to shock everyone with her great performance, and outruns Nichelle, winning the challenge for the Trout.

In Numbskull Island, Scary Girl costs her team the challenge after spending it chasing after Damien on a jack-hammer and choosing to apply make-up to a skull before giving it to Chris, thus wasting precious time. Although Ripper is once again in the bottom two for using Priya as a human shield to win the challenge, Millie betraying her alliance results in Scary Girl being voted out.

Damien comes up with a way to save his teammates' lives.

In Jurassic Fart, Chase and Zee get into a muddle with a raptor, while Ripper, Millie, Damien and Priya find themselves into trouble with another. Zee's plastic leg gets caught on some rocks. Chase wanted to save him, but gets scared and runs off, abandoning him, giving his team the first point. With Julia, she tells off a raptor, causing it to cry. But Julia didn't notice that MK had been recording the whole thing. Bowie was the only person to know about Julia's true nature and promises to keep it secret. As Priya, Damien, Millie and Ripper thought they were done for and going to be eaten, Damien was quick to think and fed the raptor the same beans they were fed earlier. The raptor eats the beans and farts by the oven still on, causing the Main lodge to explode. At the elimination ceremony, Priya and Millie spoke to the entire team and got Damien eliminated as a thank you for saving their lives. Despite him wanting to stay after overcoming his fear.

In The Launchback of Notre Game,

In Severe Eggs and Pains, Chris and Chef announce that the remaining contestants have reached the merge, meaning that Ferocious Trout are officially dissolved, with Chase, Millie, Priya, Ripper and Zee advancing to the merge.

Trivia

• The Ferocious Trout is the third team of Total Drama whose name is related to fish: the first one was the Killer Bass of Island (2007) and the second was Pimâpotew Kinosewak (also known as the Floating Salmon) of Pahkitew Island.
• This team had two contestants that reached the finale of the series, Millie and Priya.
• Damien is the only male member of this team who didn't reach the merge.
• The Ferocious Trout is one of six teams in Total Drama who didn't have any extra members as a result of a switch or returning contestant, the others being the Screaming Gaffers, Team Victory, the Frogs of Death, Team Rat Face, and Team Skunk Butt.
  • That said, Scary Girl requested Chris to be switched to the Frogs due to liking that they had the word "death" in their name, but Chris ignored her request.
• This is one of three teams to have all of its members advance to the next season, with the others being Screaming Gaffers and Frogs of Death.
• The Trout's placement average is 8.12, making them superior to the Frogs of Death placement wise.
