Alright, so I realize this may be a little early, as Season Five may be confirmed, but this proposal seems necessary if TDRI is the final season. I'd like to propose a lock down after the series ends. Perhaps we'd take a month to clean up all the pages, and then lock every single one of them. I know this seems extreme, but when I look back on this wiki, I don't want to see some of the pages destroyed or vandalized. This proposal will be on going, since it is a rather large decision, and will have no vote limit.--Bigez - Bigger! Badder! EZer! 05:50, January 15, 2012 (UTC)

  6. Right, it may be too early but it is the best decision. I agree. We all love this wiki, do we? Then we should make what's right for it: Support. We'll still have chat and we'll still can edit talk pages and stuff like that. It is just a little change, nothing more. And because I wrote so much I'm just going to end like this: Support.   10. I guess 2012 is not just the end of the world, it might also be the end of this Wiki. I knew this day would come, but hey, it's for our own good. :) Locking this entire Wiki is a much better idea rather than continuing to maintain the Wiki from vandals for the next 100 years after the show is over. :P At least I know that I won't have to be here forever. :D Total Drama Revenge !   9. I don't want to be rude but this is a terrible idea. The series' run isn't a limit of information. The original TDI articles still get edited with new information - as people rewatch, new stuff will come up and reasons to edit. And honestly, this Wiki's pretty active, you really think once the series end, EVERYONE will up and disappear and vandals will be free to roam?   11. I don't think it would work out. Yes, it would prevent vandals from ruining our hard work. But that's what admins are for, because admins ban anyone who vandalizes. I get that we're all gonna eventually leave the wiki one day. However, wikis are meant to be edited. Just because it's a good idea doesn't make it the right thing to do.   15. Seeing the state of a lot of newer pages, with such crappy grammar and arrangements, I'd hate to see pages locked down with such noticeable mistakes on it. It'll take a long time to clean up every single page on the Wiki, and locking it down for good is the last thing we need. --"Fresh air! A real lake! Birds!"   23. I strongly disagree with locking down the wiki once the show ends. There's still heaps of more information that can be added to articles. Stubs can be expanded, the roleplays can continue, and pages can be cleaned up. I know Admins cannot stay here forever, that's why we bring in new admins to replace the leaving ones. But if you shut down the wiki, we would never find anymore admins. The thing about a wiki is that there are always things to do. We also don't know for sure if a show is completely ended or not. Take Avatar for example, the show ended back in 2007 or 2008, but they're continuing with a brand new series that wasn't expected when the show first ended. I think it would be rather rash just to close the wiki down because the show is ending. --Alex531 21:26, May 14, 2012 (UTC)
  24. Locking up this wiki would be absolutely pointless. Even in the rare case that this entire show does end, locking up the wiki means that ALL users cannot edit anymore. This means that Admins, CMs etc. lose their pregstige, and ohters would lose all they worked for, like edits and such. This wiki is important, its our place to relax other than home, I do not think this is neccesary, and locking this means we won't be able to edit, we'll lose duties, plus you've seen people they edit pages which some of us haven't thought of doing too much yet. Userboxes say that they'll be a fan for ever although some are supporting, I strongly disagree as heaps and heaps of information we took time to gather will be destroyed, This show is too popular to lose. So what if it ends, I'll remain on this wiki, solo or with others. We stayed on this wiki through out the long wait between TDROTI and Season 5 so why do this. This wiki can survive if we all stick together I Like You, You Like me, Lets get together and take over the Total Drama Camp Wiki just to make it a super place with just kind users :) :) and one for luck :) 17:33, October 31, 2012 (UTC)

We're not closing the wiki. We're locking it after the series ends. It doesn't have to be TDRI. If there is a season five, great. If there's a season six, even better. Okay, I'm a little iffy on this. I don't know what side to pick. Would it be a support or an oppose? However, like WM said above; there are some flaws to this. And adding on, what happens if people want to chat with one another in Wikia Chat? What happens when they want to edit their userpage or talk page? Because vandals are generally very eager when they see an open, unattended wiki. Locking the wiki after the show ends is best because nobody will come on in the distant future and ruin all our hard work. Plus, if we catch a spelling mistake after locking a page, an admin can always edit it. But, seriously, the whole point of a wiki is to edit pages and contribute to the expansion of the wiki. Locking down this wiki would make this merely an information page. And also, to stop newcomers from ruining our wiki, we could hire more admins or something. But seriously, locking up a wiki is pointless.
