References[]
- There are several references to the Ghostbusters franchise:
- When Chef's about to call MacArthur, he references the first two lines of the Ghostbusters theme.
- MacArthur's group is called the Spiritbreakers and most of her equipment, including her car resemble the Ghostbusters'.
- Floater's scary form resembles the first ghost the Ghostbusters caught, Slimer. Like Slimer, Floater has the ability to slime people in this form.
- Floater is a reference to Casper the Friendly Ghost.
- Interestingly, MacArthur's appearance as a Ghostbuster-expy character to hunt a Casper-expy character is a reference to the 1995 live-action Casper movie when Dan Aykroyd makes a cameo appearance in said movie as his character from Ghostbusters.
- When Duncan questions Floater about being a real ghost or just a cereal commercial, it most likely referenced the "Boo Berry" cereal.
- The game that Harold was playing resembles the Jenga Game.
- The song that Floater sings while possessing the teddy bear is done to the tune of "Teddy Bears' Picnic."
