The team is formed in Heroes vs. Villains. Based on their performance in the previous seasons, Chris assigns Cameron, Courtney, Lindsay, Mike, Sam, Sierra, and Zoey onto the team, due to their "heroic" actions. In their first challenge, Lindsay is "chosen" by Courtney to drive a baby carriage after the other members couldn't decide on who should do it due to their niceness. After several trips however, Lindsay become exhausted and is unable to push the carriage. Because of this, she is blamed for costing them the challenge and is eliminated.
In Evil Dread, Zoey formulates a plan to ensure their victory, with only Courtney begrudgingly accepts. Despite Sam's condition and Sierra digging at the same site the entire challenge, the Hamsters are declared the winner of the challenge and are allowed to stay at the McLean Spa-Hotel while Sam volunteers himself for exile. In Saving Private Leechball, Courtney shows more traits of being a villain than a hero; from attempting to eliminate Zoey behind her back to using Sam as a human shield. The Heroes are once again victorious, with Zoey eliminating Jo last. For using the other Hamsters as pawns and Sam as a human shield, Courtney is deemed unheroic by Chris. She is thereby forced to switch with Duncan, who did a heroic deed by sacrificing himself to protect his girlfriend. Cameron on the other hand volunteers for exile in order to distant himself from Sierra.
In Food Fright, the Hamsters warmly welcome Duncan to the team with a party. The team was initially losing to the Vultures until Sam decides to tag Zoey out by switching places, after feeling insulted by Alejandro's words. Both of them finish the obstacle course, but Sam manages to get out first, making them win for the third time in a row. However, during the elimination ceremony, it's revealed Sam technically didn't complete the challenge, as he had stuffed a few pieces of the pancakes in his pockets in case he had to return to exile. Therefore, the the Vultures were deemed the real winners and Sam is eliminated. In Moon Madness, the Hamsters spent a great deal of the challenge separated. Sierra continued to shower Cameron in unwanted affection, Mike, under the control of his evil personality, Mal engaged in severe mischief, and Duncan wandered off by himself. Eventually, the team are reunited but just as they about to reach the finish line, Mal reverts back into Mike, allowing Gwen and Courtney to overtake him and win the challenge for the Vultures. That night, Cameron attempted to quit the game but is transfer to the opposing team instead.
By No One Eggspects The Spanish Opposition, the team is in turmoil; Sierra's insanity worsen after Cameron's transfer, Duncan deny acting like a good person and Mike feel that he is long control of his body. Despite this, Zoey once again wins for her team and is rewarded with a bonus for the challenge. After the challenge ended, Mike's attempt to fix his problem causes Mal to be in complete control of his body.
In Suckers Punched, Duncan, who suspects that he might know Mike before, remembers their past history of being in the same juvenile hall. He is the first person to know of his true identity, and warns Zoey. Because of her contribution in the previous challenge, Zoey does not have to participate in the challenge and gives her team an early advantage. Only Mal scores another point for his team by defeating Izzy while both Duncan and Sierra cannot fight their respective opponents. The Hamsters lost again that night and Sierra is voted off by the Vultures while the Hamsters choose Alejandro for exile.
In You Regatta Be Kidding Me, Chris announces that the teams would be merging, dissolving the Hamsters and the Vultures. This leaves Duncan, Mike, and Zoey as the only members of this team to progress to the merge.
