After forgetting Mother's Day by playing video games, the teacher pits the students against each other to make the best card. But one kid makes a simple homemade card that makes all the difference, and the teacher gets his comeuppance.

  • Duncan mentions he doubts he's his mother's favourite, suggesting he may have siblings like in the main continuity.
  • The dining room in Gwen's flashback also appears in Gwen's video message from home where her mother and brother are having a meal with a girl paid to play as her.
    • Said flashback also reveals that in the spinoff, Gwen's teal hair is her natural color and she inherited it from her mother.

  • The title of the episode is a play on the term "Mother of All Bombs", referring to a large explosive used for war.
  • The name of Chef's cat, Catnip Everdeen, is a reference to the protagonist of the Hunger Games franchise, Katniss Everdeen.
  • The quote "Fly, my pretties! FLY!" called by Beth as she released her bees is a reference to one of the Wicked Witch of the West's iconic line from the 1939 movie The Wizard of Oz.
