Nichelle Ladonna was a camper on Total Drama Island (2023) as a member of the Frogs of Death. She returned for Total Drama Island (2024) as a member of Team Rat Face.
Personality[]
Nichelle is a very famous movie star who features in popular films in-universe. She is renowned for her status in the industry, as proven by the way some characters are captivated by her presence and star power upon meeting her. Nichelle proudly talks about her achievements and, as an actress, avoids physical damage at all costs during challenges. However, despite presenting herself as a cool and capable individual, it is later revealed that all of her stunts are done by a middle-aged stuntman in a braided wig. Although Nichelle cares deeply about her appearance, she can also exhibit a competitive nature, ambitiously helping to defeat the opposite team in one of the challenges.
Upon her return during Total Drama Island (2024), Nichelle's popularity had taken a massive nosedive because of her previous performance, with even Hollywood choosing to cancel her and effectively toss her out. However, instead of wallowing in her own self-pity, Nichelle chose to train in all the best fields of athleticism with the most expensive and skilled coaches and trainers to become the even more skilled competitor that she had previously claimed herself to be.
Total Drama Island (2023)[]
Nichelle is introduced.
Nichelle is introduced by her full name and is considered a pretty big deal. The other contestants look at her in awe and say they loved her in Gorgeous People High and in Hot Teen Ninja Detective Squad, where she was the star of the hit TV show. Everyone is amazed to see her, particularly Priya, who begins freaking out after telling herself to be cool around her. Nichelle shows little care towards Priya after she freaks out and acts calm.
In the challenge, Nichelle is appointed the bucket carrier, so she is blindfolded and works together with Wayne for the challenge. They are being guided by Emma and Bowie, who are instructing them on how to move and where not to go. After a while, they end up in front of a few murder hornet nests. Nichelle and Wayne have to go low to make sure they are not stung. However, eventually, Wayne gets stung, so he overreacts and gets them both stung. Later, Emma tells Ripper to turn around, which Nichelle and Wayne mistake for her talking to them. Wayne crashes into a rake as he attempts to pick up the pace, and Nichelle flings into him too. Wayne hits his groin on a wooden pole, and Nichelle audibly hears it.
Emma says she'll tell Wayne when to jump, panicking Nichelle.
After falling behind, Bowie tells Nichelle and Wayne to run, so Wayne tells Nichelle to get on his back and Nichelle agrees. However Bowie spots hot coals and Emma tells them when to jump, but they don't time it right, and Nichelle and Wayne end up burned. They run around frantically and end up in the mud puddle, leading to their loss.
In the Elimination Ceremony, Chef tells Nichelle that she was concerned about her looks when Wayne was focused on trying to finish. Nichelle has a confessional saying she doesn't believe she can be blamed as her bum caught fire. Despite this reasoning, Nichelle still receives the first marshmallow. She has no reaction when Caleb is eliminated.
Julia and Nichelle are together in the challenge.
In Pirates of the Cabbage'an, Nichelle works with Julia, the latter of whom claims that Wayne would obviously put the two famous people together. This leaves Nichelle confused because she has no idea who Julia is. They are both operating the cannon, and Nichelle appears to be firing the cannon while Julia fills the cannon with cabbages. Bowie and Emma are busy spending their time aiming at Chase; however, Nichelle mistakes it for them not using the cannon right. Therefore, she tells them to aim lower, and she gives a demonstration. Once Emma says she understands, Nichelle motivates her by assuring her she can do it.
Later again, Nichelle realizes Emma and Bowie completely ignored what she said, asking them why they are aiming at people. Wayne interrupts them and calls it a great game strategy; Nichelle argues that it's not. After Wayne and Raj explain how it is a useful strategy, the team agrees to use it. Nichelle determines it's time to finish it. When Zee begins going towards the Frogs of Death's ship, Nichelle is confused why, and MK explains it is to sink both ships and make it a tie. Nichelle yells at the team to fire before eventually screaming in fear once Zee almost hits their ship. However, he fails, and her team wins.
Nichelle says that people say she's the best at everything.
In Drown Town Abbey, Nichelle, Wayne, Raj, and Emma are discussing films that Nichelle featured in and her best moves. Wayne brings up Fight-or-Flight Attendant, in which she kicks a ninja in mid-flight, which was an amazing moment. As it plays out, Spud and Rock are seen in the background; meanwhile, Nichelle yells at the ninja, saying that she said trays in the upright position, before kicking him off the plane. Nichelle explains that she was actually allowed to fly the plane. Emma says that her best move was in Werewolf Band Camp, where she defeated the giant werewolf with her silver flute. The cutaway plays, where Nichelle is playing the flute before she kicks the flute into the giant werewolf's heart, and she keeps it on the flute as she continues playing. Raj says that she plays the flute well, and Nichelle agrees, saying she is the best at everything.
Nichelle is then chosen to go last in the challenge for the Frogs of Death, considering the fact that she is an action hero. Nichelle agrees, albeit a little worried, before telling the team that they can do this, and they all put their hands up in praise to the Frogs team. Nichelle spectates throughout the challenge, having mixtures of confused and shocked reactions to people's performance and motivation. When it's finally Nichelle's turn, she stays in a steady position; however, she is not moving. Bowie questions what she's waiting for before MK sighs and says "Action!" which finally gets her going.
Nichelle runs to the rope and begins climbing, but falls multiple times. She reassures herself that she will "go from the top," "cut," and says other filmmaking terms. Although she eventually gets up, she slips on the grease and is having a clear struggle. Eventually, she gets to the end and manages to grab the number; however, it begins floating away. Priya takes the lead, and Nichelle doesn't like that, since she is supposed to be the star. Emma tries to motivate Nichelle; however, she doesn't believe in herself and admits that she doesn't do any of her own stunts.
Nichelle reveals her stunts are done by a 46-year-old stunt double in a braided wig, named Gerry.
Nichelle begins crying to herself as she explains that a 46-year-old stunt man in a braided wig named Gerry does all of her stunts; she has an identity crisis, wondering who she is without her stunts. Emma attempts to motivate her constantly, but it has little effect due to MK's sarcastic comments. Nichelle questions what she's accomplished, despite being rich, famous, and a "great actress." Emma assures her that she can do it since she is Nichelle Ladonna. She suddenly finds the motivation, gets up, grabs the number, and starts running at a pace matching Scary Girl. She is confident she can win, until she eventually crashes into one of the obstacles, causing her team to lose. Nichelle begins having a meltdown on the floor.
Nichelle believes Gerry is the reason she lost the competition.
Nichelle walks behind her whole team to the ceremony; she knows she is definitely the one going home. Nichelle anxiously looks around in the ceremony, as she is blamed for lying about being an action hero. Nichelle says in the confessional that she must've fooled herself into believing it and that at least she tried her best. MK is in the bottom two with her due to the fact that her sarcastic comments meant that she was not a team player. It is assumed the vote was a 4-3 ratio due to Bowie making a confessional about Nichelle messing up and Emma always votes with him. Nichelle is eliminated and walks down the dock, ashamed of herself. Nichelle says she will not quit since her mom did not raise a quitter. Nichelle then decides she can only blame one person: Gerry, her stunt double. She asks the camera where Gerry had been when she needed him most before she leaves the island. As the Drone of Despair grabbed her leg and took her away, she screams to Gerry that she hates him.
In the finale, Nichelle has no lines, but she is seen being friendly with Axel and being scared by Scary Girl. She is also happy to see Priya win.
Total Drama Island (2024)[]
Nichelle lands and wins the challenge for her team.
Nichelle attempts to talk to Emma in The Pink Painter Strikes Again, who immediately ignores her, thinking that Nichelle will be the first one voted out. Later, she is the last picked for her team. She confesses that after last season, where she was embarrassed because of the obstacle course challenge, she was cancelled by Hollywood. However, instead of wallowing, she spent the past few months training with the world's top parkour, kung-fu and gymnastics experts, and so now this season she is playing hardcore. Nichelle gets to demonstrate her skills later in the challenge; after being doubted by everyone else in the competition, she managed to pull through and show herself as the winner of the challenge. She beats one of the best players in the game by leaping into the air and landing past the finish line, shocking Axe Hatchet. Emma appeared worried, regretting her decision to ignore Nichelle, as she'd have been a great ally.
Nichelle assures her team she is certain she can do the three pointer.
Nichelle comes in handy to her team in Taking It to the Rim Reaper because of her athleticism. She wraps her arms around Priya and Damien, motivating them for the challenge. Later, when Priya asked her if she was sure to go down the three-point slide, she answered yes. She goes down the slide, performing well, doing tricks while doing so, and then finally scoring 3 points. She is angry with Millie for having pushed Damien down the Death Boot.
Nichelle is able to cross the bridge, landing flawlessly.
In "You Poor Saps," Nichelle joins her team to trash talk Bowie for complaining about his team's numerical disadvantages. She later joins Damien and Zee to go to Avalanche Valley. As Nichelle is running, she notices that the path is too easy. Chris then releases dodgeballs, causing her and Damien to run, leaving Millie behind. She and Damien approach a rickety bridge, and without hesitation, she leaps across, landing at the end. On the intercom, Chris announces it is time to "sweeten the pot," and a bag of candy falls on Nichelle. She is able to make it across the island and is the first one on her team to make it.
Nichelle lands gracefully after dodging the wolverines, which shocks Raj, Wayne, and Zee.
In "Choosin' for a Brusin'," during the challenge, Nichelle assumes that Damien would never go a week without any toilet paper, but she is wrong and is disgusted by Damien. When Nichelle is on the glass bridge, she picks A, as Emma tells her, but this is incorrect. As she falls, she dodges the wolverines and lands gracefully, which shocks Raj, Wayne, and Zee. She and Axel object to having Emma answer another question.
Nichelle reveals her "contract" from Hollywood.
In "Ice to Beat You," while Julia and her team discuss their cheating plan, Nichelle and Damien butt in, saying they will trounce them in the challenge. Julia reminds Nichelle of her Hollywood life, and she says she doesn't miss that life at all. Julia suggests that she should audition, but Nichelle tells her Hollywood wants movie stars, and Julia is more of a small-town movie theater actor. Nichelle and her team agree to take the obstacle course in the challenge. She is shown to be very helpful in the iceberg challenge, as she draws their fire for the others and reads a card. When Zee pees on the pillars melting them, with no other option, she asks Caleb to throw her in order to reach the key. She manages to get the key, and her team cheers for her. As Nichelle and her team are about to leave the cabin for elimination, something catches her eye. On her bed, there is a packet. She opens it and gasps with excitement, skimming through it. When Chef is about to call out Zee's performance, Nichelle interrupts, revealing she got hired to star in a superhero franchise, with a three-picture deal and EP credit all guaranteed, and she needs to go to LA to start shooting. Damien tells her she said she hated Hollywood, and she reminds him what's in it for her. Julia later reveals that the contract was faked in order to eliminate Nichelle for what she said to her earlier.
In the finale, she is one of Caleb's supporters, but it is because she is against Julia. She is one of the people to shoot at Julia with the t-shirt cannon and is unable to shoot Wayne because she feels bad if she does.
