Chef and the kids watch a scary horror flick which scares them, except Gwen, who loves it. Then he switches it to "Bananas and Cheese" featuring Duncan's parents who entertain them, to Gwen's horror.

  • There are several fourth wall breaking moments in this episode:
    • Chef tells the kids to jump 3 weeks into the future to see how much their wrestling skills improved. He also pushes Cody's split screen away.
    • In her confessional, Courtney wonders why she is wasting her time explaining Sammy's plan to the audience.
    • Near the end, Izzy looks at the screen as if seeing they are bored as well.
  • The horror movie the kids and Chef are watching during the credits is the same one the campers watched in Hook, Line, and Screamer.
  • Chef's hat from the original Total Drama series is shown when Owen goes through Chef's things.

  • OWW is a reference to the wrestling company, Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW).
  • Courtney dresses as William Shakespeare throughout the episode and recites lines from three of his works (As You Like It, Hamlet and Julius Caeser) .
  • Duncan's wrestling outfit heavily resembles those wore by the Road Warriors, consisting of Hawk and Animal.
  • Sammy's way of talking and tendency to say "oooh-Yeah" is a reference to WWE Hall of Famer, "Macho Man" Randy Savage.
  • Deven Mack explains on Twitter that his portrayal of Sammy is based on professional wrestler Scott Steiner.
  • Part of Sammy's plan involve the used of angry beavers.
  • At the hospital, Cody bursts out of Sammy's body like a Chestburster from the Alien movie franchise.

Goofs[]

  • When she is reciting a line from Julius Caeser, Courtney incorrectly states that said line was spoken by a bard. In the play, the line was spoken by Mark Antony, Caeser's general.
