When the kids are about to be subjected to school testing with no time to study, Courtney freaks and orders a Brainiac Ray from the back of a comic book that does not work as advertised.
Plot[]
Chef bursts into the playroom and begins to feed the children 'smart food' (eggs, walnuts, kale, etc.) which causes Courtney to wonder why he doing this. Chef then reveals that the school board is performing mandatory testing in all schools today. Chef then added that he had received an email about it a few months back but had completely forgot until today, where he saw the news about the testing, and how that if the kids were to fail, their parents will blame the teachers. This would ultimately end in Chef losing his job. Duncan then says that if they fail, nothing will happen to them... Until Harold reveals that those who fail the test will be sent to the cheese factory, Which at first Owen loved the idea until Harold reveal that working in the factory will mean working long hours, never get breaks, no days off, and the kids are forbidden to eat the cheese or else they shot by lasers until they explode!
Gwen does not believe what Harold said, whereas Courtney tells everyone they need to study. Harold suggests getting the Brain Strain 3000, a device designed to make those that wear it the smartest person in the room. In dismay, Courtney proclaims that it is cheating and tells them they need to study, and to ask Chef what will be on the test. Chef reveals that he doesn't remember as there was an accident with his computer and a jelly donut. In response, Courtney begins to twitch, which worries everyone. While studying, Courtney notices that most of the kids aren't studying as they decide to all fail together, with Harold even packing his belongings.
Not wanting to fail, Courtney decides to give in and calls for the Brain Strain 3000. After a few moments, it arrives and then she read the instructions. Courtney places the helmet on her head and activates it, releasing an energy surge around the daycare. With her new and improved brain, Courtney learns that she is still the same but she discovers that everyone else is beginning to act goofy (Harold is watching a black screen on a tablet, Duncan is trying to dig a tunnel in a case, Beth is thinking a camel is a dog and stole it from the zoo and Chef is driving his car inside the daycare.) Wondering why everyone is acting strange, Gwen comes out of her egg chair and to Courtney's surprise, she is acting as her normal self and explains that she saw Owen mistaking a pile of garbage for Santa Claus, and they realize the effects are due to the helmet and decide to call the hotline.
Courtney contacts the receptionist, complaining that the Helmet did not make her smarter. In response, the receptionist states that the Helmet is not designed to make the user smarter, but rather make anyone else around her dumber after being exposed to the energy surge, thus literally making Courtney and Gwen the smartest people in the room. The receptionist also states that they haven't yet figured out a way to reverse the effects and tells them to call them back if they find a way. Now increasingly worried about the test, Courtney and Gwen decide to re-educate everyone before the testers arrive. After multiple times, Courtney tells Gwen to hide in her egg chair and to not come out until after she tells her to. Later the test taker arrives and upon seeing Chef and the others all acting dumb while playing in the mud, she decides to fail them all. But before she could, Courtney places the helmet on her and actives it, resulting in the test taker becoming dumb and playing in the mud.
After Courtney tells Gwen her plan has worked and the class won't be tested, it was discovered that when Courtney activated the helmet outside, she caused the whole world to become dumb, leaving Courtney and Gwen as the only smart people on Earth. Not wanting this, Courtney took the helmet and activated it one last time, resulting in Courtney and Gwen becoming dumb too, and playing in the mud like the rest of their classmates.
