This page is about the first half of the sixth season of Total Drama. For the first season of the same name, see Total Drama Island (2007). For the second half of the sixth season, see Total Drama Island (2024).

Total Drama Island (2023), also referred to as Total Drama Island: Reboot is the first half of the first season of the reboot—and first half of the sixth overall—of Total Drama.

Overview

Total Drama Island brings the series back to its roots on Camp Wawanakwa with a diverse cast of sixteen new characters. Contestants are tested to their limits by participating in drag racing, extreme baking, TikToking, and "disaster and horror movie inspired challenges" for the chance to win the one-million dollar prize.

Format

  • Reboot: This season restarts the franchise after 9 years (12 years in-universe) of absence.
  • All-New Cast: This season features sixteen new contestants making them the fourth generation.
  • Merge Composition: The merge consisted of ten members.
  • Finalist Helpers: In the final challenge, the three finalists were each given an eliminated contestant to help them through a stage of the challenge.
  • Elimination Challenge: During the final three, the contestant that lost in a challenge would automatically be eliminated.
  • Back to an Island: This season, although taking place in an island similar to Camp Wawanakwa, takes place on an island somewhere in Muskoka, Canada.
  • Eliminated Bleachers: The previous candidates eliminated during the season attend the finale from the bleachers.
  • Co-Host: For this season, Chef Hatchet is the co-host of the competition.
