Hello everyone, and welcome back to another blog post! So, I'm sure you're all aware of Total Drama's new installment, DramaRama, which takes place in an alternate universe. Most were not happy with the idea, and it kind of killed the fandom. I know I'm here giving my thoughts on it when saying the fandom was killed but... There are still some loyal fans who are reminaing. So without further ado, let's get into this!
Okay... So whenever I first heard about Total Drama Daycare (The original name) I wasn't happy about the idea, as were most of the people. I was so sad we were not getting a new Total Drama season like we hoped. But, I was still willing to give it a chance. I just thought to myself, "Hey, maybe it'll actually be good?". So after watching the first episode I thought it was decent. Some of the jokes were a bit forced, but some were funny. I continued watching the show for about 14 episodes... It kind of got a bit boring and random as it went on. Then I kind of just stopped watching it and forgot about it... I just kind of lost interest. I don't think the show is terrible, what I mainly hate about it is that it took away the original show that we all know and love, which really made me disappointed. I only watched 14 episodes, meaning I can't base it off the other episodes. I don't know if it got better or worse in the episodes, but maybe some day I'll get around to watching. Based on the 14 episodes, I'll give my opinions on the characters.
Cody was soooo bland. Like he did absolutely nothing throughout most of the episodes. I don't know if he did more in the future episodes I didn't watch, but from what I saw, I didn't like him. Also his voice is just...
Duncan and Jude were both very annoying. Why is Jude even in this? Can someone please explain that to me? Thanks.
Bridgette was... eh. She was nice and caring I guess... Her character in the original show is fine... But out of the 14 episodes I saw she didn't add much in my opinion.
Harold was okay. He was funny at times. Owen was okay too, some of his jokes were forced like in the original but he was still funny.
I didn't like that Gwen wasn't the same as she was as a teenager at first... But then I thought she might get developed throughout the episodes, and grow to be more comfortable with people, hence her future self... Wait, did I just mention a baby getting development? Ha.
I enjoyed Courtney, LeShawna and Noah. LeShawna was kind of bland in the first few episodes but she started to get better.
Izzy and Chef were still bae.
As for Beth, at first I was so confused why she was even in the cast... But I'm glad she was, because honestly she was hilarious. I can't believe I'm actually saying that. Like I didn't mind Beth in the original show, but I definitely preferred her here.
And even though MacArthur only appears now and then for jobs she's still one of the best cause she's amazing.
So, now for overall thoughts.... The show isn't THAT bad... Just I'm sad that it took away the original show and killed it's fan base. I hope this show doesn't get much success so that they'll cancel it and bring the original show back... But even if that does happen, the chances of them bringing the show back are slim, and they'll probably just cancel it all together. I feel like the writers just don't care about this show anymore... Which is a shame. It had a good fanbase.
